In Iglika Folk Dance Ensemble dance more than 200 children aged 5 to 18 years from 24 schools in the city of Plovdiv. FTA Iglika concert composition has 5 schools and 2 for "beginners" and "advanced". Formally organized and conducted 2 competition for recruitment of new children at the end of May and early September. The competition to select candidates with the engine and musical flair and agility.
Concert repertoire of FTA Iglika is consistent with the age characteristics of participants from each concert composition, dance technique to master folk and covers a variety of areas in Bulgaria. For the most part, the repertoire is copyright work of Ventsislava Elenska, Dimitar Petrov, Georgi Monev and Georgi Seymenski.
In collaboration are copyright and the musicians and Vasil Marinov, Marian Dyulgerov after working in the ensemble in 1989 and built a repertoire on a modern folk music in a contemporary arrangement and Bulgarian folk dances. Total duration of the repertoire of the ensemble is more than 3 astronomic hours and 35 dance music works. |

Iglika Folk Dance Ensemble an active concert activity as a promoter of concerts and productions and invitations.
Tradition of FTA Iglika are concerts with participation of all actors in the ensemble, a gala concert benefis the graduates of the ensemble with a long artistic activity, the contributions of all configurations in concerts, competitions and international festivals. Tradition is a spring ball on the eve of Palm Sunday for all alumni of the ensemble current and former parents and friends of the FTA Iglika. |
